CAMPUS MOVIE FEST BEST DRAMA 2011


Our film “Rivalry” won Best Drama & Best Cinematography at Cal State Long Beach on October 17, 2011. Everyone involved did a wonderful job: Thomas Aguilar, Daniel Abel, Jordan Rodriguez, Tyson Pestner, Gustavo Laines, Eddie Jimenez, Richard Ballin, & Evelyn Casimiro.

“Last Night of Summer” Music Video eclipses 1,000 Views!

Our music video “Last Night of Summer” (‘Cough Syrup’ by Young the Giant) reached 1,000 views on YouTube this week. It was also featured on KROQ’s website in August. Click here to watch the video!

CMF 2011: Rivalry Short Film Coming Soon!

We spent last week making a new short entitled “Rivalry” which stars Jordan Rodriguez, Daniel Abel, Tyson Pestner, and Gustavo Laines. It is a re-telling of Bryan Stow’s assault at Dodger Stadium on Opening Day. It will be available on-line here next Tuesday through a link from Campus Movie Fest (The Largest Student Festival in the World).

They gave us 48 Hours to write, shoot and edit a 7 minute film. We didn’t get any sleep, but we worked hard, learned a lot and most importantly, had fun. Below is the trailer to our film “Bootleg.” The full version will be posted on the 48HR Film Project’s website in the coming weeks.

48 Hour Film Project 2011: Los Angeles


This weekend, all of us at DayDream United are participating in the 48 Hour Film Project, in which we have 48 hours to write, shoot, & edit a 4-7 minute film. One thing is for sure, we won’t get any SLEEP. Look for the movie next week here.

Guess how we’ve been spending the dog days of summer? Movies, movies, and more movies. We’ve been writing, prepping, shooting, and editing numerous projects. Above is a picture of our most recent project (“Up All Night”) in post production. Look for it here in the coming days.

CMF: IGF 2011

Myself, Saul Cervantes, & Jonathan Vasquez attended the Campus Movie Fest International Grand Finale in Hollywood on June 25, 2011. Our film “I See Love” was screened on the Universal lot, we attended many workshops, and met a lot of great people.
